Program Objectives
- Graduates will be technically competent. This includes having the ability to analyze and solve environmental engineering problems by applying basic principles of mathematics, science, and engineering. Graduates will be able to use modern engineering techniques, skills, and tools to identify, formulate, and solve environmental engineering problems.
- Graduates will be able to apply the knowledge and skills from a broad education in order to understand the impact of environmental engineering solutions in a global, societal, and environmental context consistent with the principles of sustainable development.
- Graduates will be prepared for professional practice in environmental engineering. Graduates will demonstrate an understanding of ethical, societal, and professional responsibility; will recognize the limits of their knowledge and initiate self-directed learning opportunities; and will be able to function and communicate effectively individually and within multidisciplinary teams.
