Undergraduate Study in Materials Science and Engineering

The BS in Materials Science and Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, www.abet.org.

Certificate in Biomaterials

The School of Materials Science and Engineering offers certificates in biomaterials (jointly with BME), polymers, composites, and nanomaterials. Students may fulfill the certificate requirements by taking twelve credit hours1 of approved courses. By appropriate choice of technical and free electives, only one course outside of those required for the BS MSE degree is required for any certificate and up to 3 hours of related undergraduate research credit may be applied towards a certificate. Contact the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Programs or visit http://www.mse.gatech.edu/undergraduate/certificates for eligibility requirements and a updated list of approved courses.
